For Youth (11-18)

There is something for everyone at Salway Evangelical Church.....

Sunday Mornings

Spotlight (for teens)

We meet on Sunday mornings – we join the start of the church service at 11.00am and then go out part way through for our own group. In our sessions we spend time building relationships and studying Bible passages together.

We believe that the Bible is still relevant to life in the 21st Century and so we explore together how the Bible’s teachings can be used to help us navigate modern life.

Prayer is a vital way of communicating with God and so we spend time each session thanking God for the good things he has given us and asking for his help and guidance for our lives, our loved ones and the wider world.

Regular Activities

Focus (Years 10-13)

When?: Fridays, 8:00pm - 9:30pm (during term time)

At Focus we aim to provide a safe environment where the young people can relax and feel comfortable being themselves.

The programme involves a mixture of evenings at the church, say playing games or watching a film, and trips out, which may include anything from a trampoline park to the theatre in the West End. A lot of our activities involve food as we believe sharing meals together provide a great environment to get to know each other better and stimulate debate and discussion.

We encourage the young people in the group to discuss the big stories that are in the news and we seek to share what Christians believe about the topics and show that the Bible is still relevant and useful in the modern world.

Please Note: We regret that at the moment we are unable to run a group for children in School Years 7 to 9.
